Once September hits my life will be all about The Invention of Lying, with tons of press then the world premiere in Toronto on the 14th, then going to NYC for some more press, then to L.A for the premiere on the 21st, then the release on the 25th.
I can't wait. I'm gonna have to pinch myself every day.
In the meantime, I saw most of the behind-the-scenes stuff for the DVD yesterday and literally cried till I laughed. And it's not because I was there and it's all inside jokes. It's just really funny stuff. Some of it you've already seen on Ricky's blog over the past 18 months. And some of it we saved just for the DVD.
But either way, it's a fun added bonus on the DVD and something any Gervais fan (meaning me first and foremost) will enjoy thoroughly.

At some point when you're doing the commentary, be sure to get lost in watching the film for about two or three minutes. Maybe even if we could hear nothing but you and Ricky eating popcorn. I always love those moments in director commentaries.
